Over the weekend I had the sling off, being careful with the arm. Saturday it developed a knot in the soft part of the elbow. Kinda painful, took some pain killer. And worried that the tendon had pulled loose a bit. Sunday evening I called the doctor and described what was going on. He thought it was okay, but wanted me to come in to be sure.
Went in today, he was very good about explaining what was going on, and that it was perfectly normal. In fact, he was impressed with the amount of mobility I have in it already! (almost full extension).
He also told me to loose the sling next week, but still not use the arm except for extremely light work.
Then on to PT, which was not as comfortable as it was before surgery! Again, PT was impressed with the mobility of the arm. So I'm on the mend!

I know we can count on you to hurt your elbow before it is healed.  After you are a man.

I call the office number, and they notify the Doctor on Call, which just happened to be the surgeon who did my arm.

Yes, and it's KILLING me!!!!!

I know we can count on you to hurt your elbow before it is healed.  After you are a man.

Yep, that's the general consensus of the women I work around!

Yep, they all give you a positive response, no matter what, to reassure your recovery.    My wife had a knee replaced 2 days ago and you'd have thought she was some kind of wonder woman before we left the hospital and that they had never seen anybody progress so fast after surgery.
