Iíve been staying in touch with my buddy many of you know, Ron Bien. Went out to see him a couple weeks ago. Heís been battling cancer.

I was just texting with Ron Saturday knowing the end is near. I sent him a text today and his daughter just sent me this.

We are reading dad everyoneís messages. Heís been sleeping quite a lot today. Currently his lungs are filling up with liquid making it hard to breath and heís frustrated he canít cough it out. The nurse is giving him just hours to a day or two at this point. She said a week is an overshot.

Cancer taking yet another great guy way too soon. Stay strong my friend.

Greg,
Very sorry to hear this.  Was only around Ron a couple of times, but he's just one of those guys you can't help but like.  I remember him jumping in and flipping burgers at the Kentucky Traveling Picnic a few years back.  Good times to remember and cherish.

Overall, life is pretty good, but there are things like this that we have to endure that just suck!
May the Good Lord be with Ron, his family, and friends during this difficult time.

Yes Mark, I remember that TP well. Here's a pic from then.

It hurts to say Ron lost his battle about 11:30 last night. He's at peace now though. No more pain.
Ron was THE most accomidating person I ever known. He's go out of his way to help someone out. I guess I'll have to replace the headlamps on my Wing myself  for now on. (a little joke between us)

I've got that very picture stored away somewhere.  I was looking for it last night, but I'm on the road and couldn't find it on my laptop.  Thanks for posting it.  Please give my condolences to Ron's family.  Some good folks leave us way to soon.

I was really sorry to hear of this -
I know Ron has been fighting for a while.
Greg - no words can express my sincere condolences - I know you lost a good friend; a buddy , a pal and confidant.
Keep him in your heart and mind and he will always be with you.
Having a few good friends like you are makes life worth living.
Be well my friend
Godspeed Ron.

We said goodbye to Ron last night at his funeral. It was a pleasure to meet many people he has touched.
