The city with the BIG roundabout.

And one of the first times through there 38 years ago...... I missed the left turn for 231 North.

I realized it when I came to the turn for 231 South.....

Lol

We've been wintering in FL, for the last 12 winters about 65 miles south of Orlando, and 2010 was the coldest. We had a week of lows below freezing where we usually have a few days of frost the whole winter.

Dothan got snow that year. https://www.dothaneagle.com/news/snow-a-rare-sight-in-the-wiregrass/article_efe01fa5-7401-5eb4-8325-fc95ce37bbcb.html

“The highest snowfall amounts we’ve seen was in Dale County,” said Tim Barry, a meteorologist with The National Weather Service in Tallahassee, Fla. “Ariton recorded four inches and Abbeville recorded 2.75 inches. It looks like there are widespread 2-inch amounts.”

Chances are they will never need a snow shovel nor snow tires again. I'm envious but then my lottery dream is to winter in Arizona.

I've donated my snow blower to Becky, and the snow shovel to the new guy in my house.

Yeah, I'm taking a chance on never needing them again,  but I like living on the edge....lol

No.

Vilinda is from a little town called Chipley, FL.  Her parents are buried there.  It's about 30 miles from Dothan.  We didn't want too small of a town because if our kids follow us in a couple years(which they have indicated they would) we wanted a decent size town so they could find jobs.

I know Chipley. It is a nice area, and not overrun with tourists and high prices.

I usually stop at the RaceWay gas station at US-231 and the state line. There is a guy that has a mobile stand in front selling honeys. Good honey and good prices, nice guy. I've never been through Chipley. as I either go through Marianna or Cottondale to get to I-10.
