Jackson County OH- On February 9, just after 3 p.m. a suspected Crystal Methamphetamine trafficker, identified as 25-year-old Marcus A. Bowman of Chillicothe, was arrested. Bowman sold what he claimed was 3.5 grams of Crystal Methamphetamine to an undercover detective in the Bakery Department of Kroger.

Bowman exited the store and got into a gray Dodge Dart and was about to leave, when the arrest was made. The three occupants of the vehicle, two men and a woman, along with Bowman were detained. Bowman failed to comply with orders to exit the vehicle, Deputies reported that Bowman would not quit putting his hands in between the front seats of the car and was ultimately forcefully removed from the vehicle. Once he was out of the vehicle. Deputies viewed a large fixed blade knife near the driver of the vehicle.

All of the occupants were transported to the Jackson County Correctional Facility for questioning.

A glass jar, with trace amounts of what appeared to be methamphetamine and set of digital scales were discovered in the vehicle during the execution of a search warrant.

Bowman has been charged with Trafficking in Methamphetamine, a third-degree felony and held at the Jackson County Correctional Facility.

Ken, Ohio is currently legislating for doing away with the death penalty one of the reasons being the lack of suitable drugs to cause a rapid painless death. So far THIS year in Columbus Ohio Franklin county there have been 31+ deaths from over doses, they are talking about a second morgue to handle these. In another city they are bringing in FEMA temporary morgues  to store bodies. Fentanyl  is THE prime reason for the deaths, it being included into other drugs that the drugies take.  NOW if it's that lethal and fast acting why isn't it being considered as the states drug of choice for injection? no word on that. The problem is big enough that anyone can stop at certain fire stations and get free Narcan to use on friends and family.

YA, and the voters here in Mi approved marijuana which, IMO, will lead to the more powerful stuff you're talking about.    BUT, look at all the tax money the state will be getting from the legal weed.    In the mean time, we're killing more people!!     People are lining up at the recreational stores to buy the weed.     Those stores along the border of In & Oh have their customers on a quota because they don't have enough weed to supply the market--YET.    We've got about 15 growing buildings going up to supply the market here in Van Buren County.
